Really makes me warm inside to see Santa Ynez being represented by such rippers. There is a rich history of skateboarding in the valley that even surpassed my era. John Wallace was a ripper who I saw ollie the Federico’s gap in 93, it honestly blew my mind. He’d pull up to sessions in his muddy workin truck and change out of his cowboy boots (not fancy Ben Kendall ones…rustlin boots versus ones built for the stage at Soho, no offensive Ben keep doing your thing we love you bro), put on his Airwalk hightops and get busy. Here’s to skateboarding in SY.
